You're Toast!

The intent of this project was to develop techniques for form development and visual communication.

This project introduced me to Semantics. In product design, the term Semantics refers to the communication of meaning through form. Through a series of exercises, I learned how to manipulate elements of form to convey abstract concepts and communicate them clearly.

I was given a series of word pairs. For each word, I generated form studies for a toaster that expressed the meaning. I sketched multiple iterations; refined the forms and presented my finalized drawing.
